5 Years Old!!!

Last Monday, October 18th, our sweet Ryan turned 5!!! Where has time gone?!? We can't believe our little, baby boy is now a big 5 year old!
The Friday before his birthday he celebrated at school, so together we made these spider cookies since it was "Spider Week" at school!
Later that evening we had a "Halloween Carnival Birthday Party" with all of our friends. Our friend Payton's birthday is the day before Ryan's, so we decided to host a party together since we would likely invite the same people! It turned out great!!!
Ryan the Bumblebee Birthday Boy!!! Payton the Shark, Austin from "Where the Wild Things Are," and Ryan the Transformer!
Ryan and Payton were so excited and greeted all of their friends...
...and took them straight to the pumpkin crafts!
Next up was balloon fun!
We partied in the garage and enjoyed a great BBQ dinner!
We played some fun carnival games... ...then got to the presents!!! Ryan and Payt were so sweet and would take turns opening presents! They waited patiently for their turn each time!Ryan had such a good time at his "pretend birthday" as he calls it, since it wasn't on his actual birthday!
We celebrated his actual birthday at DISNEYLAND!!!
We had such a great time while we were there! Not only did he have his ears, but the button as well with his name on it. So, everyone we encountered wished him a Happy Birthday and he would get so shy every time. All of the characters would point at his hat and pin and clap while giving him a hug, since they don't talk! After a fun filled day, we enjoyed a special dinner at Rainforest Cafe! We all had a great time checking out the animals and waterfalls inside, and got to eat under the monkeys during a thunderstorm! Happy Birthday Volcano Cake!!! After our yummy dinner, we watched the "World of Color" light show then headed back to our hotel room for presents!!! Ryan was spoiled with some games...
...and fun toys!!!
We love Ryan soooooooo much!!! He is such a sweet and loving boy who brings so much joy into our home! We have enjoyed watching him learn and grow over the last five years, and look forward to continuing to do so!

Annual trip...

to the Pumpkin Patch!!!
Since Ryan was 1, we've gone to Bishop's Pumpkin Patch every year with my family as part of his birthday celebration! Since Nat and Trev were in town last weekend, it was the perfect time to go!!! After the baby shower we loaded up and headed out for some fun!!!
Soooo excited to be with Uncle T! First things first! We waved goodbye to these guys...
...boarded the train... ...and headed through the pumpkin tunnel to check out the farm from the tracks! Next up was watching the pig races, which turned out to be a bit more enjoyable then we originally thought! The lady running the races was looking for a volunteer. She managed to look past every adorable little kid quietly flailing their arms about wanting to be picked, and selected Steve to come be her helper! After hooking him up with the proper garb...
...he was off to be the racing judge. His job was to determine the winner of each race typically designated by the color! What's funny, he's slightly color blind! He let us know who won by carefully watching for the number. We all got a kick out of it!!!
Austin then found his way to the rocking horses... ...and Papa had to show him how to ride like a true cowboy!!! Ryan's destination was the wooden train...
...and the excavator!!!
After checking out the scarecrows... ...which scared Ryan, we loaded the hayride to search for the perfect pumpkin! What mischief is this little rat creating!?!
I didn't get any pictures of the boys searching for their pumpkins since we were racing against the sunset, but they sure picked some good ones!
We had a great time at the pumpkin patch!!! We certainly had fun with everyone, but missed Aubrey since she was the only one not with us!

Buckin' Broncos & a Baby Boy!!!

Ever since we had visited Nana and Papa's house during the fair, the boys have wanted to ride Max (since Papa had promised them). So, as soon as we got to Loomis last weekend, they began asking! Finally on Friday Max was well behaved enough to take them for a stroll!
Austin had a great time and was yelling, "Yeehaw! Ride 'em Cowboy!"
Ryan really wanted to use the reigns, but would have been walking backwards if Nana hadn't tied them up he was pulling on them so tight!
Cuties!!!
On Saturday morning, my sisters and I threw a baby shower for Ashley and her soon to be Baby Boy!!! We had a great time!!!We played games...
...showered her with gifts... ...and had a great time visiting with one another! I am so excited for her to have her baby! Although I am already an Auntie, this will be my first nephew from one of my sisters and I am BEYOND EXCITED!!!
