Our Thanksgiving Fun!

We had an amazing Thanksgiving and hope that you did too! For the first time in a while by family broke tradition and stayed home for Thanksgiving, home being my Mom and Dad's house in Loomis. We had a fun group with Justin's parents Ben and Patti visiting from Washington, and my sister Megan's future in-laws. We had a great time!
Ryan was really excited for his Grandpa and Grandma to get there for the fun. He has been looking forward to it for months and has been asking when Thanksgiving was!
After they got there, Ryan and Austin had to show them around Nana and Papa's house, so we ended up at Austin's favorite spot, THE MANDARIN ORCHARD!!!
Austin would eat these things for every meal if I would let him, but I would then be changing a lot of diapers. We then settled down after a bit and had a fantastic feast enjoying the thing we're most thankful for, OUR FAMILY!!!

Meg's Shower!

Last Saturday my sisters and I threw a Bridal Shower for my sister Megan. She's getting married next month, and we're so excited for her and Allen, so we needed to celebrate!
The food! What would a party be without it?!?
We played a fun game to get to know Megan and Allen better and see how much they really knew about each other and what they each thought about their relationship! It was a lot of fun!
After opening presents, she got to wear the hat that Kelli, Megan's future sister-in-law, made out of the bows from her gifts. She did a great job!We had a lot of fun!!! Congratulations Megan and Allen! We are very excited to celebrate with you next month!

Thankful!!!

I love Thanksgiving!
Although I am thankful each and every day for all of my blessings, I am so grateful to have a day to truly reflect upon all of things my Heavenly Father has given me!
  • I am grateful for my savior Jesus Christ, his sacrifice for me, and the relationship I have with him!
  • I am grateful for a loving, supportive, and amazing husband who works hard each and every day to provide for our family!
  • I am grateful for my two sweet boys who teach me patience everyday, but who bring so much joy and happiness with a sweet smile, hug, or a kiss!
  • I am grateful for the family I was raised in and the family I married in to, and the love and support that they give Justin, Ryan, Austin and I every day.
  • I am grateful for friends who I can always rely on, talk to and trust!
  • I am grateful for temples and the peace and comfort I feel there, in addition to the guidance I receive!
  • I am grateful for prayer, and the knowledge I have that I can communicate with my Father in Heaven!
  • I am grateful for the home we have, and the heaven on earth that it is for our family!
  • I am grateful for Justin's job, and the stability it provides!
  • I am grateful for you and so much more!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Fall on the Farm Day!!!

Last Friday Ryan's preschool had "Fall on the Farm Day!" He was so excited and couldn't wait since the month was spent learning different things about farms and animals. I was lucky enough to be asked to help out that day and was just as excited as Ryan was. I didn't know what to expect and was so surprised by all of the fun things they had for the kids to do! They literally brought the farm to the school.
Ryan is ready for the day!!!
He got to pet a rabbit... ...a calf named Emma... ...a goat named Gertie who liked sucking on his finger...
...and ride a horse named Buck! I asked the girls if that was any indication of what the horse likes to do, but they didn't think I was funny!

After all of the animal fun we headed off to make butter, which required A LOT of shaking!!! Next we headed off on a hayride...
...through the beautiful orchard behind the church where Ryan's preschool is!
Next, the carnival games!!!
Then into the barn...
...for some cow milking fun!
At the end of the day we got to pick a pumpkin and head home!!!
It was a lot of fun spending the morning with Ryan and his class! He wasn't afraid at all to get in there and pet the animals or participate in any of the games they had. I am grateful for how many different things my kids have been exposed to and all of the opportunities they have had! Ryan was teaching his friends about a lot of the animals, because he spends so much time with my dad and brother and their animals up in Loomis. He is so stinkin' cute and smart!

Our Halloween Fun!!!

We had a really fun Halloween! Nana, Papa, Uncle Trevor, Auntie Aubrey, Uncle Steve and Auntie Ashley all came down to our house this year. It was fun having Halloween at our own home, since we never have before.
Ryan had fun passing out the candy to all of the trick-or-treaters at our house before we headed out!
After eating some homemade pizza we got ready and Batman and Robin headed out for some Trick-or-Treating!!!
Along with mom and Dad!!!
On our way!!!
Austin LOVED it!!! He figured it all out, I say "trick-or-treat," you give me candy! Up to one of the houses!
They would wait so patiently!!!
After two hours of trick-or-treating, they decided their bags were too heavy to carry, so we headed home to check out the loot!
After that, my mom and dad stayed home with the boys and the rest of us kids headed off to a haunted house that some people in our neighborhood put on every year.
Their front yard!
Ashley, Aubrey and I trying not to be scared of the strange, shirtless man with a werewolf mask on stalking around the line!
We had a really fun Halloween!!! Thank you guys for coming down and making it a memorable one for us!!!

Then the crazy man Joker came along, aka Daddy!
Batman had a lot of fun doing pumpkin bowling...
and the donut eating contest!
Robin tried to bowl with the split pumpkin...
and chased all of the bigger superheroes around!
We had a lot of fun at the trunk-r-treat, and just as much fun on Halloween!!!
