Special Visitors...

Today we were visited by Kraianne, Ryan's old Daycare provider, and her 3 children. It was so fun to see her and her family. She began watching Ryan when I went back to work when he was 9 months old and watched him until he turned 2.

Kraianne, Austin & Ryan

Ryan & Elizabeth

I am so thankful for Kraianne and the wonderful care she provided for Ryan. Words cannot express the comfort I felt leaving Ryan with her and the love and compassion she showed for him. She treated him as if he was part of their family and I am eternally grateful for that!

Taking care of business!

So this is a little gross, but I find it funny! One picture is of Ryan and one is of Austin. Can you tell which is which and what they're doing?

Top is Austin and the bottom is Ryan at 2 months old. I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

Thumb Sucker!

At first, Austin wouldn't suck on a pacifier let alone his thumb. He then took to his pacifier after a short time. Now he spits that out and replaces it with him thumb.

Although it's cute and I had to snap a few pictures, I've been taking it out and replacing it with his binky. After teaching 1st grade and dealing with thumb suckers, I just can't bear the thought of letting him take on this habit. But, it's cute for now!

Fair Fun!

We had a great time at the county fair this year! We sweat, ate, sweat, played, sweat, rode the rides, and did I mention sweat? It was about 103 degrees both days, and we definately felt it.
Poor little Austin trying to stay cool.

Renae seemed to be the only one who could calm him down and get him to sleep. She's his favorite babysitter.

On our way to find Kris, Ollie and EJ for some fair fun.

Yeahhh! We found them. Now time for the ferris wheel.

On to the cars.

"Too Loud!"

Now the airplane!

They couldn't figure out how to make the airplane go up. It was so funny.

And of course the pony rides, or as Ryan called them, the "merry-go-round."

Showmanship!!!

My brother and sisters show animals at the county fair every year. This year Trevor showed his steer and 2 pigs, and Natalie showed her pig.

On Thursday they showed for showmanship, which is when they are judged on how well they present and "show" their animal to the judge. Who knew you could "walk" a pig. Trevor was down to the top three and the judge had them bring a parent into the ring and tested to see if they could teach their parent how to "show" the pig. Mom was GREAT!!!About 30 minutes later Natalie was in the top of her group and he again asked them to bring a parent into the show ring, as Mom walked in the judge began to laugh as did everyone else! Flip Flops and all, Mom showed those pigs and did and excellent job. It made the trip worth it!

Progress!

So it all started in February and between work, church callings, a 2 1/2 year old and a new baby, the backyard has taken a back seat. We are seeing some progress though and are getting close to finishing.
My Mother's Day present was my new lawn!

Justin spent this past weekend on the patio and preparing to lay pavers! YEAHHHH! We will have a beautiful retaining wall with a fountain eventually, and a fire pit.

Justin has been working so hard on this project, and we can't wait for it to be done so we can spend some time together in our new backyard.

Our Daddy!

So Father's Day has come and gone, but we had a great day! Justin is an awesome husband and father to our boys. I appreciate him so much and all of the love, support, and hard work he puts in to provide for our family. Here he is with the boys on his special day!We love you Daddy!

A singer and a squeaker

My boys are absolutely adorable! They amaze me every day with the funny and cute things that they do. I caught them on video doing some of these things.
Like I previously posted, Ryan loves singing! He didn't know I was filming him, because I hid the camera, but this morning he was looking in the Ensign at the picture of our Savior and he began singing "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam." This is Ryan's rendition.

Austin has also been making a lot of noise of his own. He is smiling, cooing, and squeaking all of the time. Here he is doing just that.

Crazy Legs!

Ryan has been into singing and dancing lately. He loves singing "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam," "I Am A Child of God," "ABC's," and last but not least "Lo," or Applebottom jeans, as he calls it. RANDOM, I know. His favorite thing is to go to Nana and Papa's house and dance with his Auntie's and with Papa, which is where he learned that song. Natalie taught him the dance we call "Crazy Legs." It is hilarious! I wish I could be with Papa when he watches this! Enjoy Dad! This post is for you.

Busy Day

We had a busy day yesterday full of lots of fun activities.

At Justin's work they had a safety fair in preparation for the Rodeo this weekend. They boys and I headed over the hill and spent some time at work with Daddy.
Ryan got to see a firetruck up close and even got a sticker from the fireman.

Daddy loved showing off his boys.

They boys and I were then supposed to go to scouts, but of course, our garage door broke and we couldn't get it closed. So, we waited for Daddy to come home and save the day. After that excitement, we headed to the park for "Ward Family Fun Night."

Like I said, busy day (we threw some Father's Day shopping in the mix too).

Happy Graduation!

We went up to Loomis for what seems to be the annual graduation party at DO or Rocklin. There is always someone graduating, and this year we got to attend two. It would have been three if the boys had cooperated, sorry Josh!

Aubrey, my baby sister, graduated from 8th grade and will be going to DO next year.
YEAH! Finally an Eagle!

Later in the week, Natalie, my third sister, graduated from DO! Isn't she beautiful! Off to be a BYU-I Viking!

Fun! Fun! Fun!

We went to Nana and Papa's house for Aubrey and Natalie's graduations. While we were there, we had a lot of fun!
Running through the sprinkler's with Auntie Aubrey.

The cement slides with Aunt May May!

And the Slip N' Slide with all of his cousins!
