Visit to Nana and Papa's!

Last weekend we got the house cleaned up... and headed to Nana and Papa's house! We hadn't seen them since Christmas, so it was definitely time for a visit! The boys were so excited to see them, and to hang out with Papa (everyone else too)!
On Thursday night we went to the Del Oro boys basketball game to watch some family friends play. Ryan sported his new "Future DO Eagle" t-shirt...
and Austin hung out...
and learned how to walk along furniture!
On Friday we played some games, watched some games, and relaxed with the family!

Ryan's favorite games are "Trampoline" and "The Mixer!" These games simply include a wound up three year old, some muscular men, and a blanket! When we were little Dad would play these with us, so of course he's carried on the tradition with the grandkids! On Saturday Ryan got to have Nathan come over and play with the trains!
I ran and bought a new/used washer and dryer (Thank you craigslist)! And we then headed to Tate's baptism. Ryan didn't quite understand the concepts as we've never really been to a baptism that he would remember, so we discussed it on the way to the church. When Tate came up out of the water, Ryan came back and told me "He's all clean now!"
After the baptism we headed off to Round Table Pizza with the Schmidt Family. Ryan had fun, as usual, playing with all of his cousins.

Big helper!

Ryan is such a big helper! He loves helping do anything from feeding Austin...
to taking care of the shopping for me!
Ryan is such a sweetheart and a great big brother to Austin! Over the past few weeks I'll hear him call "Mommy, oh Mommy!" When I respond he replies "I just love you so much!" At first I was suspicious and thought he was doing something he shouldn't be doing, but he wasn't. He's such a good little boy and such a joy to have in our home. "I just love (him) so much!"

"Oh what a..."

"...beautiful morning. Oh what a beautiful day!"
Yesterday we had some beautiful weather here in sunny California. We decided to take advantage of the 70 degree temperature and head off to the park.
Getting ready to go down the slide for the first time!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Ryan would talk to Austin...
then Austin would squeal back at him!
We had such a good time outside, but we hope the rain comes soon!

And so it begins...

My little Austin is now 10 months old! I can't even believe it! And with that he has learned some new tricks. He started walking while pushing his new shopping cart that Santa got for him for Christmas! Well, I don't know if I'd really call it walking, it's more like moving his feet to keep up with it instead of falling on his face, but at any rate, he's in the beginning stages of walking!
This morning he also learned the new trick of opening the entertainment center doors and pulling out the DVD's!
"So that's how you open this thing!"
"Hmmmmm, let me see what's in here!"
"This looks like fun!"
"Yeah, I'm cute, and I know it!"
Luckily we didn't end up with all of them out, but it's only a matter of time!

Cabin Fever!!!

No, not really!!!
We loved spending time up at the cabin for New Years!
While we were there we did a lot of different things! From playing in the snow...
to watching football...
to celebrating 2009...
and even Nana's birthday!
We had such a fun time and are so grateful to Papa (Ryan and Austin's Papa Great), Grandma (Ryan and Austin's Great Grandma), Dad (Ryan and Austin's Papa), and all of our other family who make it so much fun and provide such a fun place for us to be together!!!
Ryan and Mary ready to get out and have some fun in the snow!
Nathan and Ryan ready to go!
Ryan and Auntie Aubrey!
When they were plowing the driveway, Ryan and his cousins would try to dodge the flying snow. He thought it was so much fun!
Ready for some sledding!
Ryan and Auntie Ashley!
Ryan and Uncle Trevor ready for a ride on the snowmobile!
Austin got out after a while and had some fun too! Auntie May May brought him out after he woke up from his much needed nap!
He wasn't too sure about it at first!
But, he learned to love it!!!
Ready for his turn on the snowmobile!
Daddy also got out and had some fun with us!
We had such a fun time and truly enjoyed our Christmas and New Years vacation. Unfortunately, it's back to reality!!!

Jesus wants me for a...

Sunbeam!!!
Today was Ryan's first day in Primary and he is officially a sunbeam! He was very excited and did such a good job. When I asked his teacher how he did she said, "Great! He has quite the imagination!" He is such a little stinker! He did tell me that when he gets"little again," he wants to go back to nursery so he can play with the toys. He wasn't very happy with me when I told him that would never happen.
