Thanksgiving in Washington!

For the Thanksgiving Holiday, we headed up to Washington to visit with our family. This of course called for a 13 hour drive with a 3 year old and a 9 month old which we were dreading, but they did really well since we drove all night. Once we got there, we were really excited to see everyone! We celebrated Thanksgiving with our family at Kirstin and William's house. Thank you for always making us feel so welcome!!!
Ryan enjoyed playing with his cousins...
and so did Austin!
Grandma even had some fun chasing Austin and Piper around.
We enjoyed some great food! THANK YOU!!! (Just some of us!)
Austin enjoyed his first try at eating turkey and mashed potatoes and loved it. But, what doesn't this kid love to eat, just look at the chunky monkey!
And Ryan of course enjoyed the pumpkin pie that he helped Grandpa make!
Harrison really like it too! I love his face in this picture! :)
We had a great time while in Washington and wish we could visit more often. We love you all and thank you for making us feel so at home!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

It's that time of year again where we can take some time to reflect upon the things that we are most thankful for. For as long as I can remember, my Dad has always asked us the things that we are thankful for on Thanksgiving. It's a few days away, but I have been giving it a lot of thought lately. I am so grateful for all of the many blessings my Heavenly Father has given me.

*I am grateful for my family. The one I was born into, the one I married into, and the one that I have created.
*I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and my membership in it.
*I am thankful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and for his atoning sacrifice for me.
*I am grateful for temples and the knowledge that my family can and will be together forever.
*I am grateful for my home.
*I am thankful for a prophet in these latter-days.
*I am grateful to live in the "land of the free and the home of the brave."
*I am thankful for the scriptures.
*I am thankful for friends.
I have been blessed with so many things, too many to mention, and am eternally grateful for all of my blessings. I am especially thankful for.................................................................................................................................................................

my two little turkey's...

and one great big one!

Fall on the farm!

This has been a beautiful fall weekend in Northern California. I love this season! The crispness in the air, the colorful trees, the holidays approaching! We took advantage of the beautiful 80 degree weather and the boys and I headed up to Nana and Papa's farm for a couple of days.
Ryan got to do a lot of fun things while we were there. He took his first ride on Max. He rode with Nana first, then all by himself. He was so brave!

What's a trip to the farm without riding and driving the tractor...
even in the bucket!
Ryan and Papa also had to of course "fro the lawm."
Austin enjoyed hanging out and playing in the leaves...
and had to of course see what they tasted like!
We had a great time! We also went to Uncle Trevor's LAST football game.

Peek-a-Boo!

Austin has been laughing a lot lately, and especially likes to laugh at his Big Brother. This video is adorable and gives you a chance to hear our little boy giggle playing peek-a-boo with Ryan.

Cutie Pies!

Justin and I both have had some time off this week with Veteran's Day, so we have had a lot of fun playing with the boys and watching them play together.

Bath time!!!
Ryan moves from toy to toy and will play with the same toy for several days at a time before picking a new favorite. This week it has been his Thomas and Percy trains with the track. He was nice enough to share with Austin.
But Austin just kept eating Percy.
Austin also thinks he's pretty big now. He's starting to climb up onto his knees to get into things.
Especially onto Ryan's toys...
and even onto Ryan!!!
He's also learning to give kisses...
but loves getting them just as much!

Friday night...

Yet another Friday night spent at the DO football game. I know, I know! It seems like it's in every post, but Mommy loves watching and the boys love going, so why not! The season is winding down, so we have to get our fill until there's no more football for a year.

Ryan, Mommy and Austin.
Papa with his boys watching the game.
Ryan with a big cheesy smile. (Can you believe it? Looking at the camera and smiling!)
Austin watched for a while, then decided he was ready for a snooze!
Uncle Trev with the boys after their big win!
Austin thought it was fun to sit on the field...
So Ryan then had to join in!

First trip to the theatre...

There is a new movie theatre in town, and for their first week in business they are offering several movies with free admission as well as complimentary popcorn and a small soda. We couldn't pass up the word "free" so Justin thought it would be fun to take Ryan to his first movie in the theatre. He was so excited this morning, but changed his mind when he was woken up from his nap to go (Ryan doesn't like to be woken up at all). Once he was awake and dressed, he was so excited to go see...

Daddy and Ryan on their way to the movies! (That's a Wall-e sticker Daddy is pointing at.)Getting his "free" popcorn! (Apparently Daddy needs more picture taking practice.)Popcorn, check! Soda, check! Smile??? Not so much! Getting ready for the show!

Ryan came home with a huge smile on his face, although this picture doesn't show one, and he told me all about the movie! Justin said that he just sat there in a daze and not sure what to think for about 45 minutes, but finally relaxed and got into it after that.

Halloween/Homecoming Weekend

This past weekend was not only Halloween, but Homecoming in Loomis. That of course means a lot of activity for the Drinkwater boys. We started off Halloween with the Homecoming Parade...
Only in Loomis would a tractor start off the parade.
Ryan was so excited for the DO Band.
Ryan and Aunt Aubrey watching the parade.
Ryan loved when they would throw candy. If you look closely, you can see Uncle Trevor on the football float.
Ryan doesn't like the loud noises.
Does someone look tired?
Later that night we got the boys in their costumes and ready to Trick-or-Treat, but Ryan kept saying he wanted to go to the football game. We gave him the option and continually asked him if he wanted to go trick-or-treating, but he just wanted to go to the football game. So, that's where we went. He had plenty of candy anyways after our ward trunk-or-treat, trick-or-treating at Disneyland and from the parade.
Austin watching the game.
"To infinity, and beyond!!!"
Trev and Aubs in all their Black and Gold Glory!
Trev and Papa!
On Saturday it rained all day, so we hung out at Nana and Papa's house and played.
We enjoyed our Halloween weekend and hope you all did the same!
