Callaway Christmas!

The day after Christmas we went to the Callaway family party! We always have fun with the family playing games, opening presents, and sharing old family stories. We started by playing the chimes.
We then had a great time opening presents. Austin had fun chasing his around the floor.
Ryan opened his fun presents and had his Uncle Steve and Uncle Trevor help him get it working. He also thanked AJ with a big hug!

After our Christmas morning at our house, we headed to Nana and Papa's house for Christmas with the Schmidt family!
Ryan and Austin with their Papa!
The Schmidt Family! Justin, Krista, Ryan, Aubrey, Austin, Natalie, Ashley, Steve, Megan and Trevor!
Austin opened a few presents, played with his Aunts and Uncles, then took a nice long nap.
Ryan had a great time and opened some fun presents!
Mom had a great time and opened some fun presents too! Or was this really for Papa?
After these festivities, we headed over to my Papa and Grandma Schmidt's where we had a lot more fun! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera!

Christmas Eve...

For Christmas Eve we took Ryan bowling for the first time. I think we started a new tradition. He loved it, and we had fun dancing to all of the Christmas music they were playing while we bowled.
Austin had a great time too! He lasted for while in his stroller, but then had to get out and have some fun too!
We then had our friends the Johnson's over where we made homemade pizza and prepared for Christmas!!!
The boys then opened up their Christmas Eve PJ's, we read from Luke 2, read "The Night Before Christmas", then put Cookies out for Santa and went to bed!!!
All ready for Santa to come!!!

Happy 30th Birthday!!!

Yesterday was Justin's 30th Birthday! We had a pretty quiet day overall. We made him a special breakfast in the morning, attended church, then had some family over for dinner, cake and games.
Thank you Aubrey, Natalie, Dad, Mom, Megan, Ashley, Steve...and Trevor for coming to celebrate Justin's birthday with us!!!Justin had a great birthday, and loved all of the help he got from Ryan!Happy Birthday Justin! We love you so much and are lucky to have such a loving, supportive, hard-working, and caring Daddy and Hubby in our lives! We are so grateful for all that you do for our family, and for how hard you work for us! We hope we can help make this next year a great one for you!

Let the celebration begin!!!

Tomorrow is Justin's 30th Birthday, so we decided to have family fun night to begin the celebration. We decided to make it a Christmas themed event, and filled our evening with Christmas cheer and activities. First, we headed to McDonald's for some dinner (they were playing Christmas music there to go with our Christmas theme), and Ryan and Daddy tried out the basketball game. He was getting pretty good and made several shots. A "High Five" followed every made shot of course!
We then decided to head off to look at Christmas lights. Ryan pointed out any that we saw, but he really wanted to go see his favorite lights with the choo-choo train. Austin ready for the fun!
And Santa even happened to be there! They had The Grinch too, but Ryan didn't want to go anywhere near him.

"Mommy, look at my boots!"

Last night Justin and I were talking and getting things ready for dinner when out of the corner of my eye I saw this...

then I hear, "Mommy, look at my boots!" He is such a stinker!!! He's been calling the stockings boots on and off all month and I keep correcting him, but I guess he really wanted me to see why they are "boots." I told him that the stockings are for treats from Santa and not for stinky feet, and he immediately removed them and put them back in place. He's such a funny little boy!

Welcome Home...

I come from a VERY large family, especially when you put both sides together. From my family, I have had 5 cousins serving missions, until last week. We got to...
Craig came home from serving the Lord and the people of Paraguay! It was so fun to see him and welcome him home. Craig's sister Jessica was so funny!!! She couldn't stand still and was so annoyed that anyone would stand or walk in front of her. She needed a clear path from herself to where he would walk off of the escalator. Here she is when she first saw him!
(Sorry for the bad picture, but this is Craig and Jessica reuniting!)
Craig and Grandma! Austin meeting cousin Craig for the first time!I am so grateful for all of my cousins who are so diligently serving the Lord and for those who already have. The sacrifices they have made, as well as their families, are amazing! They are such examples to me of sacrifice and service, and Ryan already talks about going on a mission like his cousins. I love you guys!
