We are sad to see 2008 go as it brought so many new things to our lives, especially sweet little Austin, but we are excited to see what 2009 has in store for us! We rang in the new year in style at the Cabin. Everyone from the community where the cabin is gets together for a bonfire, BBQ, and fireworks, and we sure weren't going to miss out on the action!
Seriously, the biggest bonfire I've EVER seen! It was cold, so we bundled up, and headed out with all of the Schmidt Family and others for the fun!

There was a lot of drinking going on amongst the others at the party, so there was a lot of Sparkling Cider left. Until the Schmidt's got ahold of it! We thought this was so funny!

After the 9:00 fireworks spectacular, we headed back inside to watch the ball drop!
Then rang in the new year with some pot banging...
fireworks and sparkler bombs of our own...
and a toast of A&W Rootbeer!!!
