U-Fish!!!

On our final day in Washington Justin and Ben went to a gun show, so we decided to try a fun, new place out that Sunne had heard about. It's called U-Fish, and it's a place in the shadows of Mt. Rainier where these people have several different ponds on their property. Each pond is full of trout of all different sizes. When we first got there, the gentleman working gave the kids a handful of what he called "fish pizza!" On the count the three they threw it in and the fish went CRAZY!!! We all were splashed and the kiddos thought it was great!
Next we got to meet Pedro the friendly goat that wanders around. Well, he tried to headbutt all of the kids, so we decided he wasn't as friendly as they thought!
After meeting Pedro and feeding the fish their "pizza," we got our supplies to go fishing!
Austin carried the fishing pole...
while Ryan carried the bucket with the bait and net!
They guarantee you will catch a fish, and they weren't kidding!!!
Piper had one on the line in about 30 seconds!
Since you must keep any fish you catch, Sunne and Piper limited it to one!
Austin was up next and wasn't too sure, but he helped me reel it in...
while Ryan got the net out and ready!
Austin and his fishy!!!
Ryan was up next and had a great time!
The only help he need from me was getting it into the net! As we sat and fished, Sunne and I noticed that we were the only women amongst many fathers and grandfathers fishing with young boys! We were strong women as we had to hold those fish and remove the hooks ourselves. Not my favorite thing, but I managed to do it three times as we caught three fish! Ryan would have kept on going, but I didn't know what we would do with them as we were leaving hours later to head home to California!
While they were cleaning the fish for us, the kids found this chair and enjoyed looking out over the ponds!
U-Fish was definitely an adventure and a lot of fun! We loved our time in Washington, and can't wait for Grandpa and Grandma to come visit us next month!!!

I am so proud of you for fishing and even getting the hooks out. I had no idea. I know you hate the smell of fish. It looks like you did lots of fun things in Washington. We are glad you are back though.
