We had a lot of fun getting ready for Easter this year! The boys were so excited and got to paint some Easter decorations!
The day before Easter Grandpa and Grandma Drinkwater came from Washington to spend some time with us! The boys were so excited for them to be here and to spend Easter with them! Soon after they got here and the boys were off to bed, the Easter Bunny visited our home!Ryan is at the age where he really gets it and remembered that the Easter Bunny was coming. So, we were of course woken up by him at the crack of dawn so he could see what the Easter Bunny brought! He was very excited! Austin slept for about another hour until Ryan couldn't stand it anymore and woke him up. It took him a while to figure out what was going on, but then was just as excited as Ryan was! After a good breakfast we enjoyed watching General Conference; well, listening to General Conference! Since we don't get any TV channels that air conference, we watched it on the computer and hooked some speakers up to it so we could hear it well! The boys were very fascinated that we were "watching TV" on the computer! They got so excited and Ryan recognized President Monson and let us all know when he was on the screen. It was so fun to see that, and know that he is learning and understanding what we are trying to teach them! While we listened to conference, the boys played their new game that the Easter Bunny brought them called "Elefun!" They had a great time! After conference we headed up to Papa and Grandma Schmidt's house for some Easter fun! After a delicious dinner and some fun with the cousins, we headed out on an Easter Egg Hunt! Well, due to the down pour of rain, we technically stayed in for the Easter Egg Hunt! We hid them on the floor, in the lamps, under furniture, and even on people! It was a lot of fun to watch!

Ryan showing off his Easter Egg! My Grandma Schmidt is AMAZING!!! She not only fills eggs with fun treats, but she makes Eggs and dyes them then writing numbers on each one. After the Easter Egg Hunt, we go in order and get to pick a special treat from the pile! Papa helped the boys listen for their number so they would know when it was their turn! Ryan picked this game "Jumpin' Monkeys" which has been a lot of fun to play together! Austin was very protective of his special treats and wanted to eat them right away! No surprise there! We had a very fun Easter, and the true meaning of it was never far from our minds! We are so grateful for the reminder of the resurrection of our Savior, and for the knowledge that we can overcome death just as he did!

How fun! You guys have been crazy busy the past few months! Matt has been talking about Pinecrest non-stop the past week. Maybe we'll have to get that on the calendar for one weekend this summer.
