The day after Christmas we always get together for a Callaway Family Christmas! This year we got to start off the night with Courtney opening her mission call! Now, this is actually a really funny story! Although she was opening her call, she already knew where she was going. The stake president called her earlier in the week to congratulate her on her mission call to the Des Moines, Iowa mission. She was really confused though, because she hadn't yet received her call. The stake president was confused himself and said that he'd gotten a call from the mission office and they wanted her to report January 20th instead of March 3rd like her call had said. He quickly called the mission office to clear up the confusion and they sent her call right away since it was never sent to her initially. We all had bets that the call would actually be to somewhere else, but we were wrong. So, CONGRATULATIONS Courtney on your call to the Des Moines, Iowa mission! Can't believe you leave in 3 weeks! Good Luck!!!
After dinner and Courtney's mission call opening, we opened presents...
and giving "Thank you" hugs!
Next, Grandpa read a really cute story to everyone that compared Santa and Jesus! It was an adorable book, as was Grandpa while reading it!
Lastly, TIME TO PLAY!!!
Over the next few days we had a lot of fun playing with our new toys...
and especially playing ROCKBAND!!!
Ryan loved playing the drums...
and Austin loved singing (aka slobbering all over the microphone)!
