SURPRISE!!!

This afternoon Justin and I were sitting of the couch talking while the boys were taking naps and there was suddenly a knock on the door. We weren't expecting anybody, so we weren't sure who it was. As I opened the door I saw my mom, dad, 3 sisters and brother standing there. They all said "Surprise!" It sure was! Megan and Natalie are both leaving for BYU-Idaho this week, so they decided to head down to pay us (the boys) one last visit for a while. They brought a new toy for Ryan that we all had to play with, and some steaks, so we threw together a BBQ! It was so fun to have everyone here, although we missed Steve and Ash!
Ryan's new toy that Papa brought just for him to ride! It will stay at Nana and Papa's house as they have a lot more room to ride!
Ready to ride!
Riding his new "quad" with Uncle Trevor.

Riding it with Aubrey!

And of course he had to take Papa for a ride too!

Justin decided that he'd better get his toys out too!

Austin always loves to see everyone! First with Aunt Megan then Uncle Trevor.

We had our first BBQ in our backyard (which is almost finished)!

Then Ryan had fun playing with his Auntie's and Uncle!

Thank you so much for coming and surprising us today! We had a fun evening and love you all so much!

Mamma Mia! Here I go again...

Last night my best girly friends and I had a girls night out. We had a ton of fun! First, we went to BJ's Restaurant and Brewery for dinner.
From left to right Cristy, Krista, & Kris (NO JOKE)!

We had a great time joking and laughing, and who can forget eating! The food was delicious! We then headed to the movie theatre to see Mamma Mia!

I have to admit, that I'm not into musicals and wasn't very excited to see it, but I had a great time. Mostly just laughing at them enjoying it so much and at the cheesy music and dancing. I'll admit, I even got up and did a little dancing myself!

We had a great time! Cristy is moving this next month to Indiana, so this was a little last hurrah together. We'll miss the Michaelson's dearly!!!

50 years and counting!

This past weekend we went up to Loomis for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary party. Although their official anniversary isn't for a couple of weeks, we wanted everyone to be there who isn't on a mission, so we had the party before school started in Utah and Idaho. The theme was "Fabulous Fifties" since they were married in 1958. Here are some of the decorations.
The centerpieces! The license plate even says 1958 on it.

Ryan loved helping set up. He would take a chair and say "Here Uncle Steve! I got a chair for you!" He was such a good helper, as usual!

We of course had a great time dancing the night away.

Ryan danced with everyone and everywhere! Ryan with Nana and Papa!

Ryan and Nathan!

Ryan was even teaching Uncle Steve how to shake it!

And the night had to end with a little song dedicated to Ryan from his Auntie's! You guessed it "LOW!" Everyone literally came and gathered around him to dance to the song. I was so embarrassed that my 2 1/2 year old knew nearly every word, but everyone else was entertained.

Cute little stinker...

Austin is quite the good little eater! We started feeding him rice cereal about 2 weeks ago and introduced oatmeal soon after. He now seems to think he can eat whatever he wants. He is already reaching for every one's food and will try to pull our plates closer to himself every chance he gets. He's such a cute little stinker!

Wet 'N Wild Boys!

It was hot out today, so we went to the water park for fun with some friends. We've been several other times, but Ryan usually stands on the sidelines and watches the others play. Today he FINALLY decided it looked like fun and joined in.

Ryan and Aaron waiting for the water!

Ryan and EJ "catching" the water!

All three wild boys!

Aaron, EJ and Ryan together at the park.
Monkey boy!
Austin and Mommy had a fun time too!

Incredible John's!

Or at least that's what Ryan calls it! On Saturday night we went to John's Incredible Pizza with some of our friends. We hadn't been since before Austin was born, and Ryan had a great time, so we thought we'd go again.
Ryan in the "car ride."

Riding the jet ski game, "Like Daddy's jet ski at Lake Powell!"

With EJ!

Daddy had fun too!

Like Father like Son!

Austin had a great time too and wanted to see EVERYTHING that went on.

Concert Crazy!

Last night my mom and 2 of my sisters came for a visit. We had a great time! While they were here, Justin and I...

and my sisters Aubrey and Natalie...

went to the Martina McBride concert at the Sleep Train Pavilion in Concord. It was a ton of fun! Chris Young opened the show.

Although I had never really heard of him before, he had an awesome voice, and I'll definitely be buying his new album in October. The next performer was...

He did a great job as well.

But who can beat the awesome vocals of Martina McBride? Not many people sound better live than they do on their CD's, but Martina definitely does.

Here she is as she came out.

Who can beat a FREE concert!! We had great seats for not paying a dime! As the night wore on it got a bit cold, but we luckily brought jackets with us.

Thank you Nana for playing with the boys while we went to the concert. Any excuse to take care of the boys, right!
